Either way, can't wait to get into the meat.
Blues or Rock
As I finish up Fundamentals 2 my next big choice is which course to take next? I am thinking of forming the foundation for Rock by taking Blues first. Ideas?

Hi swright00,
I haven't been through the all the courses yet but being a rock player with some blues backround I think you pointing in the right direction. If you take blues first, you'll have a little better understanding of where rock is coming from, especially when you learn lead. I think it's a good idea!
After all rock was born from the blues, just ask Little Richard and Elvis ;)

The blues first. My opinion anyway. When I started playing, it was because I saw BB King on Austin City Limits on PBS and a midnight movie deal of The Song Remains the Same (Led Zep) and was dying to play. So when I started, I focused on bluesy stuff cuz that's what got me started. Never regretted it. It is, much like Neal said, the basis. Blues has the vocabulary that really fills in what Rock is.

Thanks for the confirmation. I think Neal hit on my feeling of getting a better feel for lead and then having Rock flow from that.
