Description
Today we will take a look at how to play Bat Country, as made famous by Avenged Sevenfold.
This is a very dynamic metal song packed with fast heavy riffs, tight palm muting, catchy choruses with power chords, calm interludes, a solo with crazy bending and lots of harmonized guitars. So we have quite a bit of work ahead of us.
When I use the terms 8th notes, 16th notes, etc. as I'm showing you the riffs, I'm referring to a tempo where the quarter note equals 125 beats per minute throughout the tutorial - but you will hear the drums go from double-time, to regular time, to half-time.
Let's get started!
