Yeah, I'm still in highschool. Still got lots of time for guitar though, I'm not worried.

Dude,

If you are insane enough I suggest learning some Jason Becker mostly the Perpetual Burn album!! Though the title track Perpetual Burn rules and would be fun to learn on it's own. The intro is like 32nd notes at 130 tempo and utterly bad ass. So is the rest of the song. Other than that Megadeth's Rust In Peace or Countdown to Extinction albums are good to learn, especially Rust in Peace. If you have a detuned or 7-string guitar handy learn some Nevermore. I suggest anything off of either the Politics of Ecstasy, Dreaming Neon Black, or Dead Heart in a Dead World. I am a metal guys so naturally you expect metal suggestions. Old Metallica after thier first album to the black album is always good too. Hmm...what else...Morbid Angel, Blind Guardian, Helloween, Arch Enemy, Hate Eternal, Emperor, Cake, The Smashing Pumpkins <--very good gutiar music, perhaps even some Alan Holdsworht, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Pink Flyod, Boston, Scorpions, Marty Friedman's solo stuff is pretty good, then there is also Cacophony take on Speed Metal Symphony or Concerto for fun, or perhaps the Ninja.

Eh hope that gives you more Metal than you ever wanted to try and some reinforcement on some classic rock bands to look into.

Well we don't have any snow right now, but it is cold as hell. It's pretty boring to me.
