tried 2 new beers this past weekend... Grolsch and Negra Modelo

The Grolsch was very nice. It kind of reminded me of Heinekin, but with a little more smoothness. It was nice and hoppy though, but not overly so.

The Negra Modelo was a dark Mexican ale. It had a real nice smooth dark flavour, but with a crisp finish.

I would defanately buy both beers again.

Grolsch with the flip-top is an awesome beer. The one with the normal metal cap is nice and crisp. Both very drinkable. The flip-top has a little more character, whereas the normal beer cap one is more of a summer beer.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Grolsch is well-named in that I made similar noises the first (and only) time I swilled any.

Very aromatic hops - like drinking perfume.

Just not on.

At all.

Ever.

sammy clause...it is made around christmas in denmark...it is delicious...and 18% alcohol. if you ever find it, drink it!!! oh yea, it costs like $18.00 a six pack too. out here in oregon there is a gazillion kinds of microbrews and they all are better than your run of the mill heiny's and grolsch's. i like one here called sasquatch.

I no longer drink...I think I kinda grew out of it...I will occasionally drink alc, but then I'll have a Southern Comforts, lemonade and lime...a ladies drink I know...as for beers...um...I used to quite like Carling, and a South African lager called Castle (which I strongly urge all of you to try if you can...probably the nicest lager in the world)

I was drinking Lager in moderation for thirty years - I drink Smirnoff and Coke or pepsi now.
I have only just realised how aggressive, lager can make me.
Now when I look around at the guys drinking lager - they all look a bit messed up.

I've also stopped smoking Black market Tobacco as it was causing Skin problems and God knows what else ?

They're talking about beer... lager is a type of beer. Just like Ale's and Lambics... there are tons of different kinds of brews.

I prefer a nice Brown Ale like New Castle. For a lager I normally drink Sam Adam's Boston Lager or Heinekin... Chapeau makes an awesome Cherry Lambic. It's 9 dollars a bottle at most US brew houses though... It's to die for though if you like cherry flavored stuff.

A womans' beer? Does it come in a lavender bottle? Have a photo of a kitten on the label? (okay, before you all start flaming me, I am just joking...)

Stella Artois is great beer from Belgium, Hoegaarden is a well known white beer which I really really like with a slice of lemon (the proper way of drinking Hoegaarden). My favorite is Jupiler, also Belgium beer, though it's expensive and has those small 25cl bottles. Next to Jupiler I love Dommelsch, from a town near my old folks home, Dutch beer! only better then Heineken, I'm not really fond of that

oh yeah, I love beer

almost forgot Murphys Irish Red Beer and Guiness! The Irish Pub here is my home

and all our beers are 5% or higher, I don't drink any lighter stuff, it's usually bad
= good music is good drinking =
