Tremelo Springs trouble
I just got a Washburn Dime2st stealth, the previous owner had removed the springs of the tremelo and didnt reinstall them properly. I know if you put them all on straight across from each other the trem sticks up way too far. Can anybody send me a pic of a properly installed spring system on a washburn or on their trem so I can remedy my problem.

Normally there are 5 springs... and 5 claws on the trem claw... and 5 holes on the trem block... I'm assuming that you only have 3 springs........ since you said that they're installed straight across and the trem is sticking up too far... you can do it a few different ways. Get 2 more trem springs and install them as well... this will give the most trem resistance... or use the 3 you have in a different pattern... like this...
Say these numbers represent the claws on the trem claw if your guitar is laying face down on your lap with the neck to the left...
1
2
3
4
5
And these represent the holes in the trem block...
1
2
3
4
5
Link the springs like this... Listing the trem block numbers first and the trem claw number second...
1 > 2
2
3 > 3
4
5 > 4
This will give you more resistance by putting more load on the springs... if this doesn't give you the necessary amount of load you'll need to buy 2 more springs... or screw the trem claw into the body some more to increase the distance from the block to the claw.

dropping a string gauge would help, if appropriate / possible...
