Hey there, long time lurker here...

I started playing guitar about four months ago and I've become absolutely obsessed with it. I've got two acoustics and an electric, a Fender G-Dec amp and the Line 6 guitar port for the PC. My home office is starting to really pile up with guitar stuff and now I want to make a spare guest room a guitar room, specifically set up for me and my music.

As much as I've searched, I can't find any pictures of other peoples set ups. There are plenty of places for home recording studios, but I'm not really there yet... maybe one day, I am fascinated by it. For now, I'm looking for ideas on how to set it up for acoustics, decorating stuff, yada yada yada.

If this is already here, please let me know where. I can't find it via search.
Thanks!
Scott

Sounds sweet! Thanks for the good ideas. I already have three guitar stands and was planning on having them in the room, but thinking back on it now, it sure would take up a lot of room. Besides, hanging guitars just look cool. Anyone have a pics to share? I feel like I'm going to want to expand quickly and get into recording and such, so I don't want to short change myself.

Right on man, thanks for the advice anyway. Tell ya what, I'll take pictures along the way as the room comes together. I'm pretty excited about it. As soon as the inlaws leave on Monday, I'll be in there hooking it up! :)

Yeah, I have 2 bars... one is a full blown bar inside with a kegorator and a 8' bar,the other is an outdoor kitchen with a built in stainless steel fridge. Once I'm done with the guitar room, I'll show 'em all.

Here's a pic of my small setup. A little tip, don't play your big amp with your acoustic guitar anywhere near it. I was hearing a strange noise one day while playing my B-52 and I noticed it was the strings on my martin leaping of the fretboard from the vibration.

What type of effects processor is that?

awesome pix! I'll sketch out my plans and post them here later tonight. Unfortunately for me, the room has to be available for guests, so I'm planning on making a murphy bed for it, which I'm pretty pysched about.

Yup, it's a Brhringer ACX1000. I had a Fishman Pickup installed under the saddle in my Martin, it sounds real nice.

ha! Hell yeah man, open invitation! I'm in the negotiation phase with my girlfriend right now as to what I'm going to be able to get away with in the room. Soon as I get total buy in from her, I'll draw it all out... got a bunch of ideas.

So is there no way to attach pictures other than linking them to a hosting service? The room is coming along quite nicely right now and I want to share some pics. I guess I could put them on snapfish....
