Effects setup
would this work? what I want is to be able to switch from a clean to a distorted channel to a tuner (for silent tuning) at the push of a button. the only thing I can see wrong with this whole thing is the delay pedal... are there any delay pedals with two inputs? or should I find something like a volume pedal, plug both channels into the volume pedal, then the volume into the delay (and the delay into the amp)
I actually don't have the pedals (or the money) for this sort of thing right now. but I like to dream...

Why not run the 4 stompboxes from channel B into the delay? wouldn't that make things easier. And, buy a BOSS TU-2 Tuner and you get the bypass built in... That way you could run everything in one line, with no channel switcher.

too many stomp boxes in a row will lower the sound quality, even when bypassed (from what I've heard). and stomp box tuners will also lower the sound quality. I think I'm going to get one of the things off that website that PRSplaya posted, I'm going to get a 2 loooper with a tuner mute. then run the wah into the 2 looper, then have the 2 effects loops (clean and dirty) and then run the looper into the delay, and the delay into the amp. and forget about a volume pedal altogether.

I run guitar-wah-comp-comp-od-chorus-eq-deay-tuner all in a row and I have no sound quality issues. The setup is easy when transporting and does not require any additional channel switchers (i have a channel switch for my amp). By all means try your way, but try in a row as well, because you never know.. You may find something in between.

I think his reasoning behind the set-up is to not have to do a tap dance routine when going from clean to dirty. On one channel he gets a clean chorused compressed tone, and with one click of a switch he gets a dirty eq'd tone.
You might also want to look at the Boss LS-2 line selector. It might do what you want for cheaper.
BTW, I run my set-up just like you do Tele... guitar--volume--wah--od--chorus--delay--amp

true, but then I couldn't have a tuner on a separate channel... we'll see, I might just put them in a line and end up with a tapdancing routine and a slightly lower signal quality... ok, quick question, I've never used more then one pedal at a time (it was a multi) so, my question is, if I run 6 or 7 pedals in a row, will it actually lower sound quality a noticible amount. my reason for even asking was because I read an article somewhere, I think it was on www.harmony-central.com but their site is down right now, so, I don't know... I'll try later..

What if he wants a dirty chorus/compressed tone?
