Description

Mike will show you the 2 guitars in this song. Guitar 1 is the acoustic guitar tuned to a unique open tuning that strums and arpeggiates throughout. Guitar 2 is an electric guitar that adds some rhythm guitar support and a dramatic slide solo. We’ll also adapt the intro mandolin line to the electric guitar.

In the following lessons, we’ll talk about a unique open tuning, strumming and arpeggiation approaches, dynamics, and some melodic slide soloing techniques. We are in the key of D major (B minor), with 4/4 and 6/8 time signatures, at a tempo of 77 BPM.
