Description
We'll dial a medium distorted tone for these examples, and since we'll mostly be playing power chords it can handle a bit of gain. You can get the gain from your amp or from a distortion pedal like the Boss DS-1.
You can also add a little bit of reverb to sweeten it up, but sometimes it can be nice to keep your tone completely dry with no reverb at all. I'll be using my Telecaster on the bridge pickup for these examples, but naturally you can play them on any guitar you have.
