Description
You only have to know five different chord shapes to be able to find all 12 major chords in one position of the neck.
We have the standard C chord shape, the standard A chord shape, the standard G chord shape, the standard E chord shape and the standard D chord shape.
This way of looking at, and dividing up, the guitar is called the CAGED system.
If you just learn these five chord shapes, and keep track of where the root note is, you can play any chord, anywhere on the neck!
