I've got the EQ for the distorted guitar set to about 50% in the bass, 0% in the mids, 100% in the treble, and the drive is at 100%.
The clean channel setting is all in the middle 50%.
These are the settings on my Line 6 Vette II Amplifier using the Diezel channel 3 setting. If you're using a different amplifier you'll want to adjust the setting to what works best for you.
