Description
In the verse, there is a simple, sparse sound using space and dynamics. The progression is I-IV-V in the key of E, very meat and potatoes. What brings this to life and makes it work is the drums, bass, and rhythm guitar all play this rhythm together for maximum impact.
It's important to play these rhythms distinctly, with punch and power. Notice the little "squeal" sound after the guitar chords that give it excitement.
