I seem to learn this lesson over and over again as I get older: Never burn your bridges. You never know when you're going to have to come back crawling with your tail between your legs, and, if you've parted amicably, there's waaay less shame in doing that.

The only purpose that letting loose on others is for an ego trip. There's no other benefit. So, if making yourself feel superior is your goal in life, go for it. But keeping relationships intact has benefits you'll never realize existed.

The toes you step on today are connected to the butt you need to kiss tomorrow. :eek: Also, maybe you don't want to work with them, but what about their friends, or maybe they have other contacts that you could use one day?
