Is this just my own pet peeve or is anybody else driven nuts by this?
It seems like every commercial these days is taking popular songs or hits and using them in commercials.
Usual by altering the words 'Swiff it...', or playing the original and editing it really badly so it fits into 30 seconds. 'Working for the Weekend'.
Like, first it pisses me off that a band would sell out and allow the use of their song in the first place. And second, it royally pisses me off that an advertiser would think I'd want to buy their product after they've butchered one of my favorite songs and made me listen to it 20 times a day.

IMO commercials are death, even ditched satellite because I couldn't flip fast enough. Doesn't surprise me they're using tunes, seems a mile above subliminal messages.
