well, after playing on it for about an hour the other day, I finally decided on a Peavey Classic 50 2x12 combo. The clean is out of this world, and when pushed gives the sweetest bluesy tones. The overdrive is perfect for classic to 80's rock, and can actually pull of some metal type stuff, but I've still got my peavey XXX for the heavy stuff. This baby is loud too! plugged into my 4x12 cab and it's ear bleeding loud. I'm not exactly digging the spring reverb that much, but it's better than nothing, and it just fits perfect for some things. to sum it up, this amp is exactly what I was looking for. Now on to getting my '62? Gibson GA-5 amp fixed and then on to getting a new guitar........Does GAS ever stop?
