Smalltown Poets-
-anything genuine
-48 states

lots of selections by NoFX

Ozzy- Crazy Train

Static-X, most of the Shadow Zone album

Whatever's on the classic rock station (I can get three in my hometown, only one here).

Less Than Jake- any of their older stuff. it all sounds the same, so it doesn't really matter which song or album

You must have power metal!

Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, Dionysus, Rhapsody, Helloween, Nightwish, etc etc.

Yes, they're pretty cheesy.. but they're fun!

..that's why I try to avoid listening to anything too heavy when driving.

I tend to pick whole albums where I like every song. That way you can kinda let your mind wander while your driving. CCR's greatest hits, GNR's Appetite for Destruction, Led Zep (Any)... etc...etc..
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

Cult, all the way!!!

Fire Woman, Love Removal Machine, Wildflower, She Sells Sanctuary, Peace Dog, Sweet Soul Sister are all classic road trip tunes for me.

Also, it's my tradition to start off every road trip with "More Than A Feeling" by Boston. It's a wicked way to kick off a drive down towards the 401...

Basically anything off the debut album rocks on a long drive (Peace of Mind, Long Time, Rock and Roll Band).

One fun thing we did was take a road trip down to Boston to get some real Boston clam chowder. The theme music for the trip was the debut album, and as soon as we arrived in Boston we had the music cranked and all the windows down and were asking people on the streets whether they liked Boston the band or not. It was surprising how many people didn't know the band. However, we did get one old busker dude to play "Peace of Mind" after shouting a request out the car window.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

ALL generalizations are WRONG
