Tone wise, how do they compair? Can you get the same tones out of both heads? Is haveing the extra channel worth the extra cost?

Anothere question......If the TSL122 100watt 2x12 combo was hooked up to a 4x12 cab, would it have the same tone as the head version? Also, could a 2x12 ext. cab be used along with the 2x12's it already has to make it basically like a half stack?

The TSL hasing 3 independent channels (Clean, Classic Gain and Utra Gain)with Four ECC83 preamp tubes
Four EL34 power amp tubes. The clean channel is worth the extra $300.

The DSL has the classic Gain and Ultra Gain channels (no clean) Four ECC83 preamp tubes
Four EL34 power amp tubes.

The combo should sound the same if it has the same tubes/preamp circuits. The 2x12 cabinets can sound different than the 4x12's. It all depends on the type of speakers, and if the cabinet has a closed, or open back.
