Ive heard they can enhance feedback, do they do this without increasing the gain though? Anyone got the Boss one, or the MXR one?

For some reason Ive been struggling to induce feedback!

I have the new MXR 6band, I can't seem to get feedback by just switching on. Sometimes I will raise all the sliders to the same level, then turn around to the amp.

What turns on feedback for me like a charm is my Boss CS-3 Compression Sustainer. As soon as I turn it and some distortion (either MT-2 or my amp overdrive) on, it's feedback time!

If you're trying to do it with only EQ, I'd probably go for a high EQ boost, with everything else flat.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

My CS-3 sounds very artificial when I have the compression on hard and I'm strumming loud. However, when I turn it on for feedback purposes, there's no noticeable switch; it just all of a sudden induces feedback with no real effect on the tone.

Actually, when I use it with my MT-2, there's no real tonal difference (aside from the wild feedback if it's set right), even when playing chords or lead. I think it's becuase the MT-2 already compresses the signal a bit.

Anyways, your question was on EQ, and I've done a horrible job of answering it. I will get a Boss GE-7 soon, and then I'll give a review here.
