my strat gets babied... .I was taught a long time ago that if you take care of your instrument, it'll take care of you...

I am looking for an older strat with that "worn & used" look to it, I just love that... the rubbed down finish, used neck, worn pickguard... the look of a true workhorse guitar. But to purposly abuse it so it gets that look.. never! I'd rather know that the marks on the guitar are from countless hours of practicing and performing... that, to me anyway, kind of endears the guitar to it's owner...
