I want to try to get the sound he has in the song "Last Goodbye" I'm assuming the guitar is a strat, but I'm not sure about amps and whatever. I've got a PODxt to help me get close, but until I have a strat (which hopefully will be soon) I'll have to wait. But, if anybody know's how to get that amazing clean sound of his, please let me know.

He users a combination of Fender and Marshall amps. I would use a full tube Fender like a Pro Reverb, Hot Rod, or a Twin.

I might be wrong, but is he using some chorus on that song as well as reverb, or is it just that strat sound ringing out?

I believe that the chorus sound you are refering to is just the strat probably on all pickups. The strat sound is capoed on 3. I have the sheet music. So the capo with the strat will give you that sound.
