anybody know a good way to practice pedal tones?
i wanna be "shredated"

go to my page and check out toccata and fuge. alot of pedaltones in there - they are tapped though..

There are two ways for these , either tapping or normal picking ... Sometimes the pedal note is an open string which makes it easier , otherwise it's gonna be a little harder ... Search for exercises from Malmsteen , you'll find lots of (picking) pedal tones examples.

You might check out some of Joe Stump's videos. His playing isn't particularly innovative, but he's great at explaining them.
