all you need now is recording software. you can either plug your amp up to your soundcard or you can use just your zoom and plug it to the line in.

I recomend a program called acid pro, this thing has everything that you will need and it's pretty easy to find, also check if you amp has a line out and if it does then plug the line out into the line in on you computer, if not then just use you zoom.

winghoong are using a peavy bandit 112? if so it can be plugged into the sound card using the first outlet on the back of the amp(the one with a triangle with a "!" inside of it and you can see that the inside of the outlet is black).

Yeah acid pro is hailed as the best, but I'd say cakewalk equal in almost eveyr aspect (having had them both). Acid Pro is a bit steep for my budget though... and I couldn't find a ripped off copy anywhere on the net.

I have cakewalk pro audio 9, and acid pro 2 and in my opinion if you can get them both your set for life. Also it's worth seing if you can find a program called Vegas Pro, it's by sonic foundry and it's abit like acid but has alot more functions.

Okie...thanks a lot guys...
Okie...i am not using the bandit 112...i am just using the peavey rage 158....just a very small amp...with one input hole, one cd/tape hole and one phones hole ...isn't that the phones hole..is also an output hole ??? thanks..

And another thing is..i tried to plug my guitar on my Zoom 707...then from zoom i connect to my PC... then after connected i feel like there are some electric current flowing on my guitar strings...also the conductor element on my guitar... but why? do you all think its the problem of my computer electricity input?

I am using the Sound Forge 4.1 to record...and the sounds that comes out really sucks...!!.hehe..is it maybe of my speaker??? its sounds good on my amp...even on my headphones....thanks...

and any URLs...or tips..on computer recording at home..i mean...i hope you all can share your computer recording at home...low budget...with me..

Thanks a lot...

Dont plug your amp straight into the soundcards line in, or any inputs. You need to have some sort of balancing device in between, as the output from the amp may damage the inputs on the soundcard.

Also, the amps headphone jack is not an adequate output source, it doesnt sound nearly as good.

As for the current thing, sounds like something isnt ground properly, most likely the Zoom, altho i dont know how zooms behave. (is it/can they run on batterirs? if so use an adapter and make sure the ground is functioning properly)

If your really interested in recoring to PC, buy a Line 6 POD which is designed for that task.
