I'm confused as to what this measurment refers to. Whats the radius of a standard strat? Les Paul? Is it the same as the scale?


What's the difference between a puppy and a singer-songwriter?

Neck radius refers to the amount of curvature (sp?) to the fretboard - notice that it's not completely flat.

Scale is the length of the neck and determines the fret size and string tensions.

I dont get it - I was looking at a Carvin H2 and the specs listed the neck radius as 20". Where is that measurement taken from?

Picture the fret board as a slice taken out of a tree-trunk that was 40 inches in diameter.
