Ok, maybe I'm just out of it, but when somebody mentions Pro Tools, I have no clue as to what they are refering to.
What the hell is it? (I know its a computer program studios use - thats about it.)
Does it actually make music?
Could someone that has never played guitar/keyboards/drums/whatever before use Pro Tools to create their own songs in the studio?
How is it looked upon by live recording musicians?
Is it something that will make PLAYERS(as opposed to PROGRAMMERS)obsolete?

Now I know how my grandfather felt when I asked him his e-mail address....
What's the difference between a puppy and a singer-songwriter?
Eventually the puppy stops whining.

Don't know that specific prog , but I've seen others that don't need any musical knowledge or talent to compose a new song , you just set the time for a Loop , select a drum kit , hit some buttons randomly , and here you go , a groove for a typical rap song so go get some crapy lyrics.

I guess that's how most rap stuff actualy are composed.
