Whats the best way to get rid of fret buzz. My 6th and 4th strings give off a fret buzz when stroked hard. I know the reason for fret buzz, (the eliptical pattern of reasonce comes in contact with the fret board).

Thanks for the help!
WWSD? What would stevie do?

Check the straightness of your neck. You could need a minor truss rod adjustment. Just set it up in a playing position and not laying on a table.
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

It's either improper (truss rod) or (string action) set up.

Oops , you mean a manufacturing error ... Can these be replaced or fixed ?

I've never heard of someone who had that problem.

I don't think that any sane person who likes his axe might do that , but thanx for the valuable info anyway man ... I never knew that frets can move.

Have you experienced that problem before , one of your friends had it or something ?

All things change...

As you play your guitar, eventually there will be some fret wear. This will be more severe in some places than others. If you do a lot of bends and pull-offs in the same position all the time, the rest of the frets wil be relatively untouched compared to the worn-down frets in your favourite position.

When you fret a string on one of the worn spots, there is less clearance between the underside of the string and the top of the higher frets. Fret-buzz starts to happen, on some strings, in some places on the neck. This will happen eventually to anyone - it's just a matter of time.

The cure is either to file down the less-worn frets to match the worn ones (a process called "re-crowning"), or, in severe cases, to replace the worn frets.

Either way, it's a tricky job, best left to an expert.

I suggest it's time for Polera to consult a good guitar tech.

Yeah frets can come up from the slot they were seated in. A light tap with a soft hammer can reseat them. Then a little steel wool should finish them off.
