Presence?
What does the "Presence" knob do on my amp?

The name is pretty much self-explanatory it adds "presence" to your tone. It's kinda simple and kinda tricky...simply put it's the "sparkle" It adjusts the very high frequencies in both clean and overdriven channels. It's a fine tuner for frequencies roughly between 1100 and 1800 hertz. To quote Hughes & Kettner (not my favorite line of amps, but a pretty good definition):
"This frequency range has a considerable influence on the overall flavor of your sound. The amount of "bite" varies depending on this knob's setting. With a little experimentation, this know will soon help you discover the sonic secrets of the big boys."
Play with it...some amps have a huge spectrum of change with this knob and others are quite subtle, but you can find your amps "sweet spot" with this knob
