I’ll take the opposite position and say nothing beats the opportunity to explore different tones afforded by different pick ups and different types of guitar bodies. Yes, different neck shapes, nut widths and fret types can affect playability but I don’t think using different guitars to practice and play songs that sound best on that type of guitar has slowed me down.
