Mike,

Really digging playing Sway. Your breakdown is fantastic from beginning to end, especially for the epic outro solo. After a long break from guitar (20 yrs...kids, moves, life changes, etc) I am back to playing a couple hours a day which feels

so good again.

Would love to see you do a few other Stones favorites. Ventilator Blues, Moonlight Mile or Tumbling Dice?

Keep up the great work!!!

Jon

Hey Jon! Thanks for the kind words, and for enjoying that tutorial - it was an absolute blast to learn and teach! Of course I would love to see more deep-cut Stones on here as well. I'll reach out to the powers at be and keep my fingers crossed for more!

Mike, very well done, I am thrilled.

I watched your lessons the other day when I remembered the live version from Fonda Theatre in 2015. Certainly, never has Sway been played more precisely and thrilling at the same time than at this show. It's simply a maturely played version.

Especially, this was Ronnie's day! May I ask you to have a look (or a listen) at it?

His solos are so much classic rock that it would be a great gift by you if you could help many of us intermediate players here on the site play his licks with this song.

Regards

Bob

Hi Bob - thanks for the kind words! That '15 version is smokin' indeed!

Of course, I'd love to teach the licks from that live version, but I believe we only got clearance from the publishers to teach the original studio version. I'll double check on that and let you know if we'll be able to do another version!

Cheers!

Thank you Mike, I totally understand.

Perhaps it is possible to teach us some of the licks separately, rightly declared as being general knowledge of Rock and Blues all over the planet.

Don't mean to hurry you.

Kind regards

Bob

Hey Bob - no worries at all! I do a live stream for GuitarTricks on YouTube every Friday. I'll incorporate some of those Ronnie licks into one of my Guitar Workouts that I do on there.

I'll update this post when I do that! Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey Mike, have you by chance filmed the tutorial for All Down The Line yet? Thanks

Hey Jamboss - unfortunately (I'm assuming) the licensing fell through and the song has been removed from the list. What a drag!!! I was looking forward to it!

Sorry about that!

I was looking forward to it as well, that sucks. Are there any more Stones in the pipeline or is that it for awhile? Thanks for all the great lessons.

Thanks for the kind words! Dead Flowers is coming up, but it hasn't been filmed yet, so it will be a few months before it gets to the site. Unfortunately, no other Stones at the moment.
