Hi Mike,

I'm having a hard time with the down tuning for the acoustic finger picking, my guitar just won't sound right when I down tune it and try to tune back to standard for some reason. Is there an alternative like using the capo in standard tuning to play it in the right key?

Thanks

Hey Elias - sorry you're having trouble with the lower tuning. Unfortunately, using a capo will not help the situation - because you'd have to play the parts an octave higher way up the neck.

Are you using an electronic tuner? Be sure to tune to the following notes:

Low string (6th string): Eb (or D#)

5th string : Ab (or G#)

4th string : Db (or C#)

3rd string : Gb (or F#)

2nd string: Bb (or A#)

High string (1st string): Eb (or D#)

Sometimes an electronic tuner will give you the sharp note rather than the flat one. Hopefully this will help - let me know how it goes!

Thanks Mike, yes I'm using an electronic tuner, and I'm not quite getting the lower notes suggested on the video, but I'll try it again following your descriptions here.

It worked thanks again Mike! Using the sharp notes on the digital tuner instead of looking for the flats did it!
