Eruption
Does anyone know where I can get or have for that matter an MP3 file of Eruption by EVH at half speed (that doesn't distort the tone)? Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks in advance...

I donĀ“t know if thereĀ“s a mp3 file but you can easy find a midi file and get it half as fast.

You won't find half speed mp3 there, but you'll get the tab+midi in one file... & you can controle the tempo as you wish.

there is a plugin for winamp (works only on winamp 2 - winamp 3 is crap anyway) - it is called "pacemaker" its freeware. you can change speed and/or pitch of any given mp3-file with it. realtime

Personally I think anybody who wants to learn Eruption should be forced to do it the way we all did.
On a Lloyds turntable with the speed turned down to 16 RPM.
You guys have it too easy these days

Thank you for your replys - I downloaded a program called (of all names) the Amazing Slow Downer. It allows the user to control the pitch, tempo, etc. of any CD or MP3 file. There is even a feature that strips the vocals to get them out of your way. I've only tried the demo version and haven't really dove into it's full capabilites but for $40 - I'm seriously thinking about purchasing for future use. Here is the url if anyone else is interested.

BTW - not a kid, 33, playing for over 17 years but the ability to solo with pizazz has always seemed to escape me. But with things like this program it is enabling me to disect and learn. What kills me is how the music industry is dumbing down rock n roll with these dropped tunings and lack of truly talented guitar heroes.
