My own limited exposure to coated Elixirs, acoustic and electric, I found the same. Not a fan. [br][br]IDK why, but for supposedly identical spec. composition coated roundwound phosphor bronze of the same gauge as D'Addario EXP and numerous others I've tried, Elixir strings feel much harder on the fingers, equivalent gauge for gauge.
