Hi team, I've finaly got around to saying hi as I have been in Guitar Tricks for a while now (about 20 months). I'm in my '50's and have never played an instrument before, but I'd like to say to the newer people out there that "Yes" you will get there eventially. I'm about 60% of the way through Fundamentals 2 and currently doing some hours on those barre chords

I have found the fundamentals courses to be excellent and as you work through them (stick to it!) it all falls into place. Well done Guitar Tricks, I'm getting a great grounding on how it all works and can use other resources to learn bits and pieces and actually understand what is being talked about.

Gidday RM64! Good to see a fellow Kiwi here. Like yourself, I began learning guitar in my 50's.

My experience with Guitar Tricks has been awesome, I hope you continue to have a similiar experience.

My latest challenge........ bar chords, specifically Bm and F. Seems every song I want to play has one or the other. Progress is being made!!!

Greetings from the Big Island.

that’s the best advice, you are spot on. I’m in my mid 50’s, I regret somewhat I didn’t action my long time desire to play guitar but the time was right now I’m semi retired.

The fundamental course is brilliant and I’m supplementing with other resources to apply my learning and increase musicality.

whatever your goal, just have fun, we only need to please ourselves.

Good to see other Kiwi's on board. Never too old to learn eh. Good for the brain and getting quite addicted to it. When I get more fluent with my chord changes and rhythm I'll have to try out some of our Kiwi classics.
