I was taught to play by an old guy, with a nylon string guitar, who taught me basic open chords and a few basic songs, and told me the rest could be figured out on my own (he was mildly right.) with no knowledge of scales or theory I always find myself noodling for for about 6 hrs. a day (lol) developing a keen sense of rhythm and a professional ear for music, people always enjoy hearing me play. my problem is it takes me about a month to arrange a song. but I must say after going thru some of your site and reading this article my improv and arranging skills are picking up.
