could someone post the scale for E phrygian
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

http://www.Cyberfret.com has box scales rooted on the 6th and 5th strings for all the major scale modes.

yeah i like how Cyberfret explains the scales. that's the only set back with the power chord sight. but the power chord site has more scales, especially exotic ones, and just weird scales people have thought up over the years. Both are really good sites if you wanna know about scales.

I downloaded a program called Guitar Power. Its an absolutly humungouse archive of scales and chords and arpeggios, and it explains the theory behind them and gives you a fretboard display and everything. After 30 days the fretboard display and info buttons are deactivated if you havent purchased it. I havent got it, Im still using the free trial thing, so I gotta order it if I wanna have my fretboard display. Its a great program though.

E phrygian is the same as C major.

C Major
D Dorian
E Phrygian
F Lydian
G Mixolydian
A minor
B locrian

all those are 1 scale, with different orientation.

I noticed what Incidents Happen said was right, but I just wanted to add something since he was naming the modes, he used C as major and A as minor. They also have modes names too..

C Ionian (major)
D Dorian
E Phrygian
F Lydian
G Mixolydian
A Aeolian (minor)
B locrian

Very true, but in the common tongue, aeolian = minor and ionian= major.

Oh yeah I agree, I certainly don't call C major, C Ionian. I never meet anyone who has either, but I have seen it alot in music theory books. So just in case someone see's it, they should know what they mean.
