Hey Dave! Is your LP wired old style like '59 or modern wiring?

Hey BOJAC,

I have a couple Les Pauls and both have modern wiring and electronics. The only upgrades I did were:

Gold Top - a DiMarzio "Super Distortion" in bridge position and a DiMarzio "PAF" in neck position

Sunburst - Seymour Duncan "Pearly Gates" in bridge and neck positions.

There you go!

Thanks for responding! I love the sound you're getting in the Betts lessons. I almost had Pgates put in. Oh well next time.

Sounds like a marshall is hooked up. My LP has SD 59s and old style wiring now with an

RG80 with Carver "British 12" speaker. Trying for ABB sound for cheap. Kinda works.

I don't think it matters for sound, old style or modern. Just have to get used to the one volume knob controlling the other with old style. Any Toy Caldwell in the future?

Thanks for the kudos on my Betts lessons! Sounds like you have a sweet guitar and amp set up. The 59 pickups are great too. I actually used a POD with the Marshall Plexi mode for most of the lesson.

Toy Caldwell is a great guitarist. Try sending Guitar Tricks an email with your Toy Caldwell suggestion/request.
