I know loads of little bits of songs.. I cant play lead too well to Im ok at Chords/strumming so I tend just to play backing..

I like:

Bryan Adams "On a day like today" (Acoustic)
& Im into Travis "Sing"

Those are quite easy to follow & sound great

What do you like to play ALL the way through?

im a 24-7 improvising jammer, so i can't really say i've done a whole song the way it was written.

But im writing songs for me now, with not too many chords so they are easy to improvise over, and pretty loose and un-manufactored. So i guess some of them would count, wouldn't they?

"4 and 20 years ago, I came into this life..."

For me its the "Underture" from "Tommy". It sounds good on 6 or 12 strings, acoustic or electric.

Jacob's Ladder
Siva
Dazed and Confused

If i feel myself bored and not knowing what to play I put one of those songs on and chill with it playing along. I tend to improvise the solos in the last two.

my fav song by far would be gnr's "estranged" (use your illusion 2, track 11). Beautiful guitar lines to go with a great song, and it can be pulled off with 1 guitar rather well.

My all time favorite song to play is Ozzy Osbourne's Mr. Crowley (Live version). The way I play it is a combination of live recordings of Randy's way, Jake E. Lee's, A Zakk Wyldes. The rythum is probably one of his his easiest the songs to learn but I never tire of playing it. Adding different nuances of the above mentioned players I believe has made me a better player in both phrasing and feeling.

But of course I enjoy anything Ozzy has done from The Sabbath years, solo years, and the Miss Piggy years.
I started learning guitar because of Randy Rhoads..but Yngwie J. Malmsteen is my biggest influence.

Thanks Lord, Well, The Ðoors are my favorite group of all time, and Morrison in my opinion was one of the most amazing writers. He wrote a song called Shamans Blues, that I think is a pretty cool song. Also, I'm very attracted to the whole Native Indian culture, and even though a small percentage, I do have some in my background, and I absolutely LOVE the Blues. And hey, i'll admit it, April 20th is the Holiday of Choice for me. Thank you for welcoming me to this site, it's a pretty sweet one at that. Have a good one Lord.

gah! The doors? Personally, and this is my opinion, the doors played AT you, in comparison to the dead, who played "With" you (no snickering!), if you know what i mean. The audience wouldn't affect the doors playing, except maybe when Jim flashed his dong out, but the dead were always communicating with their audience.

but, if thats your thing, cool man.
