My point is I didn't let the theory of substitution get in the way. The FMaj7#11 chord forms SOUND cool as subs for the other 4 chord types. More experimenting is in order!


P.S. I need to say that each of the 5 chord types listed have a function in a given chord progression and by using the subs I have many more sounds to choose from
