I am a poor giutarist from Bulgaria and I am using just a GNX1. However, most of the guitarists I know use Zoom-s, so compared w/ them I am pretty well equiped ;)

Don't have a picture, but it's really not that impressive.
Fender 1993 Strat Plus Deluxe > Jimi Hendrix Wah (want a fulltone Clyde Deluxe) > Boss OD-3 > Boss DD-5 > Currently no amp to speak of.
I know that sounds funny, but I do have an amp at home; a Marshall G80rcd or something. It's decent to get volume out of my guitar. I want a real amp though, looking at a Fender Deluxe Reverb. Other effects I plan to get are: decent compression pedal, fulltone Clyde deluxe wah, maybe a TS-9, maybe something like a univibe (I like Hendrix).

I like hendrix also this is the ultimate setup

Fender MIJ 69' thinline telecaster reissue
Vision wah-Roger Mayer
Overdrive Pro series OD820-Maxon
Voodoo-1 Distortion- Roger Mayer
Octane 3- z vex octave effect
Voodoo Vibe- Roger Mayer
1979' Analog delay- MXR (vintage)
Lo-Fi Loop Junky- Z Vex(looper)
Blues Jr-Fender

This setup was pricey but you will get amazing hendrix tones. Bardsley check out roger mayer he personally made effects for hendrix and has the best stuff to get that hendrix sound, especially the Voodoo Vibe and Vision wah!!!! Check them out, the vision wah is the best wah there is!!!!!

Yeah, I know of Roger Mayer. I plan to try out his stuff, but it's kinda hard to find in Australia. Anyway, although i like Hendrix, I very rarely try to play that sort of stuff, it's just that the univibe is a pretty cool effect.

As is the Voodoo Vibe. It is a Phaser, Trem, and vibrato all in one. And let me tell you the sound quality of each of them is amazing. There is soo much flexibility that you can produce a variety of sounds that is unreal. I would tell you to try one out but its the sort of effect that you need to buy and sit down with and learn how to tweek. Its rather elaborate but can be used for other sounds than just hendrix it just happens to do the hendrix thing very well so thats why I mentioned it.

As I said, would love to try it out, can never find any though. Also, I am saving for an actual AMP first. Boring, I know, but effects are kind of useless without them, lol!

We sure can my friend. What kind of amp are you looking for? I couldnt be a larger supporter of tube amps. I have a nice little blues jr thats got great tone, and its actually pretty freikin loud also. I love fender tube amps. I want a 65' deluxe reverb when I move out of my condo some day.

Yep, the old 65 DRRI is what I've been looking at too. I love the "vibrato" on it, as well as everything else. I've been looking at a lot though, and by the time I can actually AFFORD any of them, I'll probably have a pretty good idea of what I want, lol.

Yeah, definatly. I posted the link a couple of times to see if we'd get any crossover.
It's different but I kinda like it.

As someone who visits HC a bit, this site I find a helluva lot more relaxed. This site is a lot quieter, which means you don't lose threads to tons of "OT" posts.

hey dot-dot-dot,

However you posted your setup is cool, it looks like the setups in guitar player magazine. Whats the other site you and the other member were taling about? Also is the roland thing you have the new piece that has all the different simulations in it; like different instruments, string types, pickups....I have yet to use one of them but it sounds awesome if thats what you have tell me more about it.

The "other site" is Harmony Central - acapella.harmony-central.com

It has its moments, but there are a few people who spend most of their time being rude. If you ignore them there's a lot of good information.

And yes, the VG-88 is the unit you're thinking of. It does pickup simulation, amp simulation, alternate tunings without changing the tuning on the guitar, synths, acoustics, nylon strings, organ, bass, banjo and more. Plus a decent FX section on top of that. The only downside is having to have the hex pickup on your guitar, but I have an internal GK2 installed, so it's not too obtrusive.
