Hackettstown? Almost moved to Jersey for my job and was seriously looking in Hackettstown. For that matter, I just returned from Jersey yesterday...

That said, good luck!!

Thanks for checking it out Steve!! I'm not a graphic designer by any stretch, but I'm really growing to like the logo. It's amazing what you can do with a smidge of skill, and a font and clipart from the Internet.

I hope my bandmates grow to like it. The didn't say they don't like it, but somebody said they thought we "could do better".

The logo looks pretty good. And I'm not just saying that because I'm one of Radio Gap's few European fans. I spent two years studying multimedia-design, which covers a lot of visual elements, ranging from Website-design and Flash-animations to video-recording and editing, to poster and flyer-design to radio-spots to Logo-design! Add in some Project-management, Economics and Marketing, and I think it's pretty much covered. This knowledge will no doubt be valuable in the future, when my own musical career actually starts to take off (that is, once I actually have a band and we have gigs in the calendar).

Thanks Kasperow! For somebody that has absolutely no training in art or graphic arts, I thought it came out pretty good.

Certainly all of those skills will come in handy for you when your band gets going.

I've never done marketing, but it's fun running the Facebook page promoting the band.

That's what I hope too. It'll make things a lot easier once I have a band. No need to hire a team to produce promotional material like posters, videos or a website, if I can do all that myself. The hardest part just seems to be getting that band off the ground...

If you care to see and hear what I've been up to with my band in the studio, visit our web page by clicking the link in my signature.

In case you can't see my signature, here's the link:
My Band Radio Gap

For myself, I'm pleased that I've been able to stretch my playing style a bit into more aggressive playing. As you'll hear in the solo, I'm still rooted in my laid back bluesy style, but it feels good to really let loose and let it rip!! There's a bit of hesitation here and there, but that's what happens when you push your boundaries :-).

Great sound - Radio Gap continue onwards and upwards! I especially loved the contrast between the fingerpicked elements and the way your solo blasts in - great dynamics. (And I'm even more of a Gap fan after noticing that your second guitarist Ivan seems to be wearing a Guinness t-shirt - my all-time favourite drink!!). Anyway, congratulations......Steve

Thanks for checking it out Steve. Ivan actually finger picks that part rather than use a pick to really add to the dynamic. I'm now getting the hang of adding volume and distortion to a solo without it being overwhelming or ear piercing. My Zoom pedal is coming in quite handy! It all feels like it's coming together. It should go over well at the open mic we are doing this Thursday. By then we'll have the timing down...it was a little squirrelly last week.

I'm a big fan of Guinness also! I'll let Ivan know you appreciate his shirt!

Gilmour used to wear a Guinness shirt too! Perhaps I should get one too to help channel my inner Gilmour :-).

We are all growing as musicians and are continuing to become tighter as a band.
