I can't answer your question. There are multiple products that purport to help with finger pain, calluses, etc. I haven't tried any of them but some folks like 'em.

See the second minute of this Guitar Tricks Newsletter vid, http://www.guitartricks.com/lesson.php?input=20929&utm_source=Guitar+Tricks+Newsletter&utm_campaign=5a0eff5304-NEWS_Prospects_1_24_14&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_832235591b-5a0eff5304-87421913 The idea of filing calluses really helped me. My calluses were always shredding/peeling/flaking. The filing kinda controlled all that and, I'm convinced, resulted in thicker, stronger calluses. Also, over the long term I really shortened by fret hand fingernails. I think that, with the filing, helped build broader, stronger calluses, too.

I have tried Rock Tips once, and I thought it was a pretty good product. It may not solve your problem, but it does sound like it might and it is worth a try.

Hi bcraig4J.
You might take a look at Liquid Bandaide and New Skin, both first aide products.
Also super glue, as it was used for boxing trainers to close cuts on fighters. At least that's what I have heard over the years.
I have never used any of the above as I prefer to build and maintain my calluses.
