Now that we've got a new and improved Jam Station, is there any chance that we will be getting an upgrade to the Metronome as well? I find it a bit annoying that it only has the ability to help you practice with an even number of beats-per-minute, when a lot of songs are played at odd numbers of beats-per-minute like 67bpm. Please add odd numbers to the metronome, and it will become twice as useful :)

Thanks for the input, Kasperow - that's a great suggestion. We'll see if we can add that to the revamped Metronome tool that will be coming out in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Will there be a revamped tuner as well? I asked in another thread if we could get open E tuning added to the drop down instead of manually using the +/-. I see other open tunings there but not open E. Nobody responded to my other thread. :(

...back to the metronome....

I could use some more speed. When I boost my practice speed at the end of this month I'll be up against the metronome's limit. I'm no whiz on scales and I consider myself a beginner so I know there's tons of players out there that are also limited by the metronome in its current version.

Additionally, how about adding the option of NO accent. When practicing scales the accent is not needed and I often find it distracting. A choice of a nice steady beat with no delineation between measures would be nice.

For the most part I really like the metronome. Maximized, I can see it from across the room and with a remote mouse I can be away from the computer when I practice. Looking forward to the update...

Hey John heres a tip so you can continue to upgrade your speed.
Lets say you get to 244 tempo with 8th notes. Its the same speed as if you lower the tempo to 122 and play 16th notes. So you can continue building speed from tempo 122 with 16th notes. And the day that you can play your scales with 16th notes at 244 and the guitar sets on fire, drop back to 122 and play 32th notes. :)

Good suggestion, john. We're making a note of all of these before rolling out the upgrade, so keep 'em coming.

Thanks, Seb.

I'll probably try your suggestion if the new metronome can't keep up. ;)

Hey Kasperow,
Version 1 of the metronome had odd BPMs.

Here's a link to it:

Have fun,
