Hi everybody!

I just recorded a free improvisation on my old ibanez (1991):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g726ZwcNVC4

I bought this Ibanez Paul gilbert model back in 1991 and the sold in 1996.
I was lucky enough to trace it and buy it back recently, it passed through some customizations but it's still great to play :)

more video soon!

best,
Daniele Liverani

Towards the end I was expecting the fretboard to burst into flames! That was some super shredding... tone was great too. Have you seen that Ibanez re-issued the S1? Even in the fluorescent yellow of yester-year, though sadly, not in the hot neon pink that I see in one of the original ads in my old Guitar Player magazine.

Thanks a lot! :)
Yeah I've seen it. I love those guitars, I think that in those years some of the best guitars have been designed and built. :)
I come from the eighties and will always have those guitars in my heart! :)

You are a virtuoso. I'd like to play like you but I'm not sure I've time to learn it, I'm more an alt rock songwriter. That keeps me busy, but I'm curious, do you play live, in a band, what's your story?

Wow, amazing command of the instrument. I particularly like how smooth your pick tapping is, thanks for the post!

Super playing, Daniele! Clean, smooth with great vibrato.
Do you use thumb muting, palm muting, or perhaps both?

Also, I really like your video Time to Leave and album cover(?) (you with many arms as hands of the clock on clock background).

Great stuff!

Thanks a lot everybody! :)
To answer to your questions:
I've had many bands in the past, but I played Keyboards on those situations mostly :)
I come from the classical piano infact since I was a child, and I learned guitar only later in my life (16-17 yrs old)
Some of my bands I played Keyboards in and did albums with: Empty Tremor, Twinspirits, Cosmics, Prime Suspect, Khymera.
Now I'm back to a solo artist situation
I played guitar in my Rock Opera trilogy Genius and my 3 solo guitar albums though.
A lot of my musical path can be read here anyway including early demo tapes and old stuffs:

@John
I use Both Palm and Thumb muting... :)
That cover is the artowrk of the album Daily Trauma (2004) my second guitar solo album. :)

Here's a another tune from that album, Odd Time Signature SHuffle "Odd Valley":

Amazing! Can tell by the looks of your fretboard that you practice a lot, and it definitely shows in your playing!

Well I've been rehearsing a lot in the past, nowadays I have less time, but I try to keep in shape :)
