Hey everyone. I'm a long time bass player and I currently play in a semi-acoustic folk-pop band in the KC area.

I'm pushing 40 now and decided that it was time to pick up the 6-string. I had 10 consecutive days off over Xmas and decided to spend it with my family and with guitartricks (when I needed a little break from my family).

I managed to make my way quickly through Fundamentals 1 and most of Fundamentals 2. I had a lot of fun playing and singing the easy (G,C,D) Xmas tunes with my 6-y.o. daughter.

I'm really hooked on the site now and I'm looking forward to hanging out and learning a lot more!

Welcome Huffheinz!!

I just replied to your other post regarding playing the Christmas songs with your daughter - and recommended that you are she check out Acoustic Strumming Step-by-Step, Level 1 for some easy songs that she might even know, but which are not seasonal.

And as far as your learning guitar goes, I'll bet you do really well, helped by your knowledge of the bass. Bravo!

Have lots of fun -
Lisa
