Hi all,

I bought myself an electric guitar for my 41st birthday in October. I'd been working my way through a "Complete Idiots" book but found myself wanting a little more interaction--whether it be with my learning material or with other people--and my cousin recommended this site.

I played the piano in my preteen years and the cello in my late 20s-early 30s, but decided I wanted to do something completely different. My goal is to play some of the "Hair Band" music I grew up with, as that seems like it would be the most fun.

Cheers!

Hello Sally and welcome to GuitarTricks! I am in the Fundamentals 2 course right now with Chris as the instructor and I am really enjoying this course and learning from him. He is a great musical instructor. Forget any age limitations. I am turning 52 next week and could care less. I will learn the instrument because that is what I want to do. Good luck and enjoy the journey!

Jim.

you're never to old or too young to learn something new, we've had subscribers who were starting in their 70s and 80s!

So congrats on getting fresh start Sally, and welcome aboard. We look forward to helping you meet your goals.
