I am 40 years old and I have been playing for a long time. I am a low intermediate player and I enjoy Rock, Country, Blues and Metal. I am hoping to utilize this site so that I can focus on moving ahead in my playing. I really like the new songs and I was hoping to find others that are the same (playing for awhile but not so well) so that we can compare what works and what does not.

I am Canadian and in the forces. I am hoping to put in a lot of time on this site, especially when the winter starts.

Feel free to contact.

Hello Boommie ,

Cool, also someone who has started a little bit later...
I recommend Anders Mouridsen , Tom Finch and Lisa McCormick.

Greetings, Tradoni

Nice to see other folks in my age group here...I'm 41, and just starting out.

I don't want to be lying on my deathbed thinking, "I shoulda learned to play the guitar; I shoulda learned to play them drums."

Welcome :)
I am self taught (maybe not a HUGE mistake, I believe it forced me to find my voice ) but i realized I needed to learn some basics ...like scales (lol)
if i played them i didn't realize i was. ( Blame it on my ADD ,baby)
I've written at least 300 songs without them. So I came here and I'm really happy that I did. I've got some killer leads and solos for some of my songs already.Just by learning scales and some of the basics i didn't realize I needed :/ :)*
The lessons are easily comprehended and the *Instructors are Grroovy* ( and seem patient with me, even though i know its just a video :0)
Sooo I would have to say this is probably the best gift I ever gave myself !!!
I would rather play music than eat, sleep or breath !
I'm Shari and Its nice to meet other over-agers Lol ... shhhhhhh :):):)
*Age only adds wisdom *.... I'm grateful I'm getting wiser everyday !!!
Peace,Love,Majick,Wisdom and most of all ... Music :):):):):)
