Hi,
I've just completed the Guitar Fundamental 2 course.
Do you recommend to continue to the Rock style course?
I have an acoustic and it seems like the course is for electric.
There are plenty of rock song that I would like to be able playing.

Many thanks,
Alon

Hi Alon!

Anything you learn on the acoustic can be applied to the electric, so I wouldn't worry too much about not having an electric guitar at this point. If anything, when you do get one, it will just feel a lot easier since the neck is smaller and the strings lighter.

Of course you won't get the rocking overdrive sound from your acoustic, but sometimes it can be good to practice this stuff clean, so you hear what you're doing.

After a while though, it might be a good idea to get an electric guitar if you're into rock. Muting techniques with lots of distortion, as well as bending are some areas that are a bit difficult to cover on the acoustic guitar.

Hi Ben,
I love playing on the acoustic and do not have any intention for the time being to move to electric.
Would you still recommend to learn the Rock course?

Yes, I would. There is still so much you will learn from it, that is applicable to any type of guitar.

Best of luck!
