New moderator wanted

New moderator wanted for this forum. Must be:

member in good standing for at least 6 months
has experience with newer gear (modeling amps, etc.)
has an even temper (doesn't get in flame wars)

I would love to be a mod here but I have'nt been here to long..

We're looking for additional Moderators so that each forum has two people looking after things.

The six month requirement is intended to ensure that we get people who spend enough time here that looking in every day is not considered 'a chore'.

It also gives us some posts to look at to form an opinion of what sort of person is applying, and how much useful information they can contribute. There's more to it than deleting offensive posts.

I'm on here regularly, yet not everyday. If that's enough, where do I fill in my application? ;)

I'm here almost everyday I stay on for about an hour you guys just didn't like me I guess. You guys sgould try looking at my tricks.

This isn't about tricks. I'm pretty sure you play better than I do, but that's not the skill-set we need for a Moderator.

What do you know about the guts of the effects you use? How do you troubleshoot an ailing amp? What mic placements give the best results for a particular kind of sound? Are modeling amps the way to go? Should effects be added before or after recording a track? What is the best order for the effects to be put in?

That's the kind of questions that get asked in this forum. We need someone who has good answers... not just "Go with what sounds good"... People come here for help. We need someone who can steer them right, or at least point them to someone who can.

You're about 5 months short of the 6-month membership, but e-mail the Webmaster and see what he thinks.

It isn't up to me, man. I know as much about songwriting as you do about tech stuff.

I could say I like it, or I don't. I couldn't tell you why. And I couldn't tell you how to improve it.
