Back in the 70's when I started playing I was at my instructors house, when a friend (x-band member) stopped by. My instructor asked if his friend could use my guitar and amp to play a couple songs with him. Of course I said yes.

I remember standing there is AW!!! as that guy made my guitar and amp make sounds I never knew they could. I still enjoy letting other people jam on my set up, just to hear what they make it do.

Anders and other instructors on this site say it's not always the guitar and amp you are using, but how you use them to get the sounds that is important. At least that's what I get from what they say.

So who would you love to watch play through your set up, to hear what else it can do?

Just the top 3 as the list could get long fast.

I would pick 3 guitar player that I like there sound from 3 complete different styles to see the range of sound that could actually be achieved with my gear.

So it would be:

David Gilmour
Joe Satriani
Alexi Laiho

But I think my list would be different if I could pick dead guys :)

Then Jimi Hendrix would definetly be in there to see what type of sound he could come out with all those bunch of pedals I accumulated and to be able to see his ingeniosity and his artistic experimentation at work.

Nice, another Laiho fan. That guy is ridiculous. Not only can he shred on the guitar, but he sings lead at the same time....
