Digitech Jam Man question

Hi everyone,

I just picked up a Digitech Jam Man today in an effort to improve my playing and have a potentially stupid question:

Right now I have it connected to the front of my amp. Is there a way that I can get a clean sounding loop to play even though I have the amp's distortion channel on?

For example: I want the clean rhythm for Pink Floyd's "Mother" to play (looped) while I solo.

Would connecting the

Hmmm, I never had a Jam man but I once had a boss loop station and to have a clean sound looping, I had to put my settings on my amp and effects board to a clean sound, record myself, put the "dirt" back on, then jam away with the loop.
