Hey folks :)
My name is George and I think I'm (one of) the youngest user here: I'm 14 years old!
I started playing the guitar (Classic) when I was 8-9 years old... And I bought my 1st E-Guitar when I was 12 :D (A beautiful Ibanez, ST Model)
My favorite bands are: Guns 'N Roses, Billy Talent and Red Hot Chili Peppers!
And I love Slash and Jimi Hendrix...

In our apartment here in Munich, we had an empty room. And since my little bother (11) started playing Drums, I decided to make that room a band room!

Now I have 3 guitars:
- A classic Suzuki guitar
- An Ibanez (ST Model) with a Line 6 Amp.
- A Baton Rouge concert guitar

And an E-Drums, which I connected to 3 Amps

And when some friends come over, we do some Jam sessions :D

Hey George,

I already replied on your Guns N Roses lesson request but nonetheless welcome to Guitartricks!

And yes you certainly are very young compared to most people on here lol! I'm currently 22 years old and find myself young looking at most introduction post here on the forum haha.

I also like GNR, RHCP and Jimi Hendrix very much :-)

See you also have a Line 6 amp just like me. What amp do you have precisely? I currently own a Line 6 Spider IV 75, one hell of an amp for the money with loads of options.

Have fun here!

JJ

Great taste in music guys! Hendrix, GNR, and RHCP are some of my favorite bands/artists too!

@JJ90

Well, I have a Line 6 Spider IV 15, but I don't really use it:
I found a way to connect my guitar with my Macbook and the drumsets's amp, so I work with the Garageband Effects :) And that makes the recording part much more easier ;)
(It's hard for me to explain how I did it, but I could try if you want xD)
You have much more effects, which you can also edit: For example, I found a way to play like Slash on this Video

And Jimi Hendrix... He's like the Jesus of the rockers :P

@Ben

I think Slash doesn't play for G'NR anymore does he?
Didn't he started a solo career? :)

Yeah, they all started fighting and not much is left of the original lineup unfortunately...

Slash has done some cool stuff after that though, like in Velvet Revolver, but nothing that comes close to the classic GNR songs in my opinion.

Was "Civil War" composed at the time when Axl Rose was the singer?
And "Sweet Child Of Mine"?

Ow, and whats your favorite song at the moment?? :)

Yeah, they were. Awesome songs!

My favorite GNR songs are probably: November Rain, Sweet Child O' Mine, Paradise City and their version of Knockin' on Heaven's Door - that solo is just too good.

A really good one is: Welcome to the Jungle!
Epic solo! But I think that all of Slashes solo's are epic :P

Hey? :D I just realized: you are the instructor who made the "Ten ways to play Arpeggios" video/lesson!
The Arpeggio Riffin' was my first lesson as a Full Access Member, and now I'm working on the Van Halen thing...
I really like your lessons, there's a lot of amazing stuff!

Yup, that's me. :) Glad you like 'em - they were a lot of fun to make!

Wait until you get to the Paul Gilbert Style String Skipping example, that's a tough one. :D

Hey Ben :)
I've finished the Van Halen lesson... I really enjoyed it!

Is there a way to speed the "Slow Jam" up? :)

Hey, you can download the video and use software like QuickTime or Transcribe! to play the video faster (or slower).
